I didn't buy the vector-productions spin of 'culture' is 'love' definition. It sounds a little PR if you know what I mean. "See you next deculture?" Sounds like a word made up for an ad campaign. anyway... Hey! Did I miss your Ep. 6 Log? |

Whoops. The second episode 5 is episode 6. It was completely intentional and was in no way related to copying headers. Not at all related. Nope. This is why I am not a PR rep... |

I'm told that the "culture" references don't make much sense in Japanese, either; they're sometimes using a noun as a verb or adjective. Also, it's "hedgehog." That bit would perhaps be better understood in translation if the original had said "porcupine," but it didn't. The point is, it's bristling with defensive weaponry. |

I'm a bit late with episode 8. I'm downloading it now and I'll look at it tomorrow. |

I just want to mention once again how much this series rocks. The OST is phenomenal as well. |

Yes, I do. I'm currently involved with cleaning. How anyone can accumulate so much crap in so little time is beyond me. It is all in the hope that I will be moving for work. Once I find a job. Somewhere. Hire me? |

I'll hire you as a full time minion! Unfortunately, the salary is pretty pathetic, even by 3rd world standards. And the only benefit is access to all the expired coupons you want... |

Let's see: partially removed lateral meniscus with reoccurring pain, right knee; 40% rotation loss, left wrist; compromised skeletomuscular structure, left wrist; nerve damage... the list goes on. I would be surprised if I survived the first week of basic in my current state. =P |

Spent last night rewatching the entire series with my fiancée, episodes 1-13. Nice, HD mkv rips with good subtitles. It's better when you catch a few of the references missed on the first time around. We're looking forward to the next release. Dang episodic cliff hangers. |

I've been only watching the Shinsen subs, so as of now I'm still at ep 14. Something just occurred to me. We all know that Macross Frontier has elements and scenes from all the previous Macross series. But what about the other 'Super Dimensional' series? ('Super Dimensional Century Orguss' and 'Super Dimensional Calvary Southern Cross') Note that the following is mostly speculation, I haven't seen Orguss (just some pictures and -very- brief synopsis), and I've only very vaguely remember the Robotech version of Southern Cross. (Though I've looked up the Wikipedia entries.) In Orguss, a 'Super Dimensional Bomb' was used that 'split the timeline' - maybe just a name similarity in that one? Also, 'prehensile hair' from some of the characters in Orguss. A cute furry little animal adopted by a main character that is in truth an alien creature in Soutehrn Cross. The antagonist's general description (taken from Wikipedia); 'Characteristically, the Zor are human in appearance, tall and slender with violet eyes, silvery hair and pale skin.' - Brera Sterne? Not really much to go on, but it makes me wonder. |
