Wow, I wouldn't go quite that far! I hate dubs, but I thought the Cowboy Bebop one was fairly well done. It was actually somewhat watchable! I don't know if anything was edited out or whatnot. Probably. But yeah, see if you can't Netflix it or something :) | ||

I recall reading the edit list on AnimeNewsNetwork as Bebop came out on Cartoon Network. It was mostly okay, as I recall, although there is the infamous man-photoshopped-into-a-pillow moment. (Two guys were sharing a bed, so one of them was . . . transformed.) Shortly thereafter the editors of the Adult Swim block gave an entire interview of some length on their censorship practices in which they explained that they themselves were great fans of the shows and constantly fought with the suits at Cartoon Network to keep the shows as uncut as possible. It's really much better than if the suits always had their way, which was part of the point of Adult Swim to begin with. (Only the Midnight Run could get completely uncut stuff; government censorship also relaxes at midnight, IIRC.) | ||

Didier / Musuko here. I've seen the anime (TV series and movie), read the manga, and -- well, I haven't bought the T-shirt, but I know there's one out there. Been talking this one over with Gendou's player, and we're definitely interested. (He'll likely say so himself here in a bit.) We're thinking of playing a pair of 'street samurai' brothers, one bald (me), one with a killer afro (him). Sure, it's a little Wu Tang, but I think it'd fit in that universe. :-) | ||
