Okay, I have decided that my new game is going to be in the Cowboy Bebop universe, and it will start sometime in May. (I need time to rewatch the series and make some game universe notes.) Those of you who are interested in playing can go ahead and start thinking about your character. This game will be played in a more episodic format than other games I've run. Kind of along the lines of my old Sailor Moon game. We won't spend a lot of time talking about when you got up in the morning or what you had for lunch. We will focus on experiences and interactions that offer characters a chance to develop and the plot an opportunity to unfold. These may be mundane or epic situations, depending on what's needed for the story. I have a lot of thoughts about how I want this game to be, which I will share as the time to start grows nearer. For now just know that it's Bebop, character stories will drive the plot, and there will be an ending. I am not accepting character sheets at this time, because you will probably want to incorporate the game setting somehow. But if you are familiar with the Bebop universe, I'm sure you can start brainstorming the type of character you want to play. |

Why aren't you at your post?! By the way, due to the game setting, I am allowing characters to have personal vehicles. And due to the game setting, you can design them! However, don't expect to actually have your vehicle at the beginning of the game. |

Oh, well, then he doesn't hope it'll fall through...:> Thanks for the sentiment, I guess...I don't know that I'm expecting "a lot", but I can tell you that I have two players who will definitely be playing, which is enough for me. |

I'm interested, but realistically I'm too busy to be a contributing member. Especially about the design your own ships part... Lasers... and missiles... machine guns... and a wave motion cannon ;p |

Character sheet? Man, I can barely remember english, how'm I supposed to convince onee-chan to let me write for her game? What kind of time-frame in the real world are you gonna be looking at for these episodic engagements? I suppose I'll get to work on concepts before I get sarcastic. ^_^ |

I only have general ideas right now. I haven't mapped out my episodes yet. So I guess my answer is: as long as it takes, and not one day longer. I haven't decided what my posting schedule is going to be yet. Most of the people who are going to be involved in this, including myself, are working professionals. But I don't want it to get boring either. So I'm still mulling it over. I just found an album on Napster called "Music of Cowboy Bebop and Other Sounds for the Otaku", by Rayzd. Kind of a cool version of "Rain" on here... |
