Well, I've found out what it is. Congestive heart failure. The average heart pumps about 55% of the blood out of a ventricle at a time; mine's doing around 15% to 20%. Nice, eh?
Fortunately it's treatable with medication. With luck, I'll be back to myself in a few months.
We don't know what caused it, but it's possible it was kicked off by a viral infection I had earlier this year.
Right now I just need to take it easy, take my drugs, and let my heart rebuild itself.
I'm not sure when I'll feel up to restarting the game, but now that I know what's wrong, I can at least imagine that there will be a timetable sometime this year :> |

Looking back at your symptoms, that makes perfect sense, but it never occurred to me. I guess that's why I'm not a doctor.

Thanks :) I'm still alive! And I've adjusted to my first level of heart medication, I think...seeing my doctor tomorrow and she may up the dose.
I feel like I'm slowly figuring out how to deal with things. |

NEWS!
I am feeling a lot better. I am on all the medications they had planned for me, so right now it's just a matter of waiting to see if they work. In the meantime, I have been more and more energetic and active as my health as improved.
There was a time where I couldn't remember what it was like not to be sick. Now I can't remember what that is like ;)
As I'm feeling better, I want to get back into this. Right now I'm watching Ballad of Fallen Angels to get into the right mood. (When you only want to watch one episode of Cowboy Bebop, which one do you watch?)
So! I plan to restart this game next week. In the meantime, I need to know who is still here and willing to play.
Also, since there has only been one GM post ^^;;, I am also willing to let others into the game. So if you can get me a character sheet by this weekend, you can probably play too.

Okay, everyone's checked in who's going to, I think. I have two new people (I'll email you, J) and most of the rest, so that's good. Right now I'm walking the precarious tightrope of "Oh! I'm feeling better now! Let me commit myself to a billion different things!", so bear with me as I get organized.
I will continue the scene as it was going, and new characters will just jump in. Shouldn't be too hard. In fact, if new characters want to go ahead and post, be my guest. I will be posting either Thursday or Friday, so if you're going to post, do it by then.

Don't get crazy and overload yourself, Heather! Just remember that after your health, we should be your top priority. :) If your social life has to suffer a bit for us, that's ok.

This week did not shape up the way I planned...I've been working a lot of overtime, and trying to spend as much time as possible with my friend who's back in town from England. So...yeah.
Once I actually get back into this it will probably go quickly, but it seems like it's taking me awhile to get there! |
